Skating Classes
Effective immediately, class participants must pay online prior to or upon arrival to the rink for any student taking classes with Roller Louisiane. When I accept cash, I have to go home and do a separate log of all transactions and as a [very] small business, it saves quite a bit of time on my end. Please use the following link to register for tomorrow's class and any classes moving forward.

1 • Artistic Skating Seminar
March 10-12, 2024 (Free Skating, Pairs)

Classes are cancelled for Saturday, March 9, 2024
This seminar will be held in Houston from Sunday, March 10 through Tuesday, March 12. 2024. It is hosted by Nicola Genchi, member of the World Skate Technical Committee, and is a sanctioned (sponsored) event by USA Roller Sports. For new MAs (Jenny), this event will not be beneficial just yet. For all other MAs, coaches, and officers, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with other athletes, and officials who are active decision-makers on the global/international level.
If you are interested in attending this seminar, you can find the event information on USARS's event page (click on the PDF link). You will need to carry proper attire (training and club garment, including others). Street clothes are not allowed.

I learned of this meet through a telephone conversation I had on Thursday, 2/8/2024 with our region's rep, Robyn Young. This competition is stylized like a Pre-Regional competition, which is great news for those of us saving up to going to Chicago Midwest Invitational (which we can now skip b/c of Waco). This is a great meet for all, including our newest athletes.
I will provide more info as soon as it's made public.
4 • South-Central Regional Championships
Memorial Day Weekend

Classes are unaffected (Last Date for Season 3: Saturday, 4/18/2024)
You won't find this yet on USARS's event page. For the sake of all MAs attending and competing, you will likely want to take off work Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24, 2024 for travel and acclimation, official practices, etc. Please contact me directly if you need to know for certain, I will contact the region's reps to get them to put this online so we can move with confidence.
I will provide more information as soon as it's made public.
5 • US National Championships
July 15-28, 2024
✅ We are attending (Athletes must qualify at Regionals)
The US Nationals is held throughout July and into August for the various world-level roller sports. Athletes from all over the US who qualified at their local regionals will travel to Lincoln, NE (usual spot) to compete for national titles in their disciplines and for select disciplines/events will qualify for the World Championships in Rimini, Italy. The dates everyone should know are as follows (Youth A & B, and Adult)
• July 15-19, 2024 - Elite/World Skate
• July 20-24, 2024 - Youth A & B
• July 25-28, 2024 - Adult

2024 World Skate Games

This August the world's best roller sports athletes will converge in Italy to battle for the distinguished title of World Champion in their chosen disciplines.from August 29 through September 23, 2024. Artistic will train, compete, and celebrate together in Rimini (east coast) from September 8 - 23, 2024.
